Aeroplane 23 May 1947 *P.530 - Another project reviewed. This was the Essex Aero Sprite, a side by side two-seater with butterfly tail and 100hp Nuffield engine. There were two versions - one with fixed nosewheel, the other with retractable undercarriage. Built of magnesium alloy, the prototype was due to fly before the end of summer. What happened to it?
