B.Turner - Fiesty little bulldog
A fine study of City of Springfield during a flypast. The split undercarriage fairings and aileron mass balances are conspicuous, as is the non-authentic tailwheel.
The Gee Bee with the reproduction of Larry Brown's Miss Los Angeles keeping close company. Both aircraft are the work of Ed Marquart of Flabob Airport, California.
Bill Turner's Model Z shortly after completion.
During an early flight.
The far aft location of the cockpit proved troublesome during approach and landing, when the fuselage and cowling obscured the whole airport!
The cockpit instrumentation - both altimeter and airspeed indicator failed on the maiden flight.
As reported in our postscript, Bill Turner's Gee Bee suffered complete brake failure at Half Moon Bay on Sunday, June 3, 1979 - this was the result.
