The Hon Patrick Lindsay's S.E.5E, ex-Wings and Wheels Museum, arrives at Wycombe Air Park, Booker, on November 26, 1981.
Saunders-Roe SR53 XD145 is rolled out at RAF Brize Norton on November 30, 1981. It has now been delivered to the RAF Aerospace Museum at RAF Cosford.
Peter Channon's blue Comper Swift, G-ABTC, is based at Land's End, Cornwall. Outside of the UK, a Pobjoy-engined Swift survives in the Argentine and a Gipsy Swift is still airworthy in Australia.
Another Bob Coles acquisition is Gloster Meteor Mk 8 WH291, from the collection of the late Ormond Haydon-Baillie. It was collected from RAF Kemble and will be permanently displayed at Lasham. The aircraft wears the overall light grey scheme of No 79 Squadron RAF, 229 OCU, Chivenor.
