The all-yellow Meteor EE455. Aircraft was originally Meteor F.3s but was taken from the production line and modified to F.4 standard, but without armament, and given a high speed finish for the record attempt. The aircraft was powered by the 4,000lb-thrust Rolls-Royce Derwent 5.
