The aerial photograph released to the press in October 1944 shows two Me 163s on the ground at Peenemunde, near the small building in the centre. Note the elongated scorch marks on the grass, at the bottom of the picture.
Not a Me163A pupil pilot undergoing a towed take off but a Komet being towed out for take off by a quadruped impressed into Luftwaffe service. The cow does not appear to be impressed at all!
