A Douglas Dakota of BOAC, still wearing RAF camouflage. The author flew a mixture of military- and civilian-painted Daks, changing his uniform accordingly from RAF to BOAC!

Formerly KJ802 in the RAF, this Dakota TV served with BOAC from early 1945. In February 1950 it was sold to Aden.

BOAC Dakota III G-AGHF, formerly FD824 in the RAF, joined the airline in 1943. In March 1951 it returned home to the USA.

BOAC’s Dakota III G-AGIU readied for the service to Lisbon. When transferred to BEA the Dak was named Edward Busk.

Delivered to BEA in late 1946, Dakota III G-AHCY was destroyed in a crash at Saddleworth, Yorkshire, on August 19, 1949.
