M.Fendt - Boeing 777 - Long-Haul Twin /Commercial/
Boeing's twin-jet 777 hit the headlines on January 17 this year when a British Airways aircraft crash landed at London's Heathrow Airport, thankfully none of the passengers or crew suffered any major injuries. The Boeing 777-200ER, G-YMMM, similar to the example pictured, was one of 43 of the type (four more are due for delivery in 2009) operated by the UK's flag carrier. To date, more than 670 Boeing 777s have been delivered and the aircraft involved in the incident at Heathrow is the first of the type to be written off.
Singapore Airlines' first 777-200, 9V-SQA, sported special markings to celebrate the airline's 50th anniversary in 1997.
Boeing 777-21HLR A6-EWA (c/n 35572), the first of the type for Emirates, was handed-over to the airline on August 31, 2007 at Paine Field, Everett, Washington, where the aircraft is seen here on August 17 during flight testing. The aircraft was one often ordered, together with 24 777-300ERs and eight 777 Freighters, under a contract signed at the Dubai Air Show on November 21, 2005.
Korean Air has a fleet of 19 Boeing 777s, comprising 15 -200s and four -300s. This 777-300, HL7534, photographed at Narita International Airport, Japan, was delivered to the airline in December 1999.
Major assembly of the 777 Freighter is underway at Boeing's Everett facility, in Washington State. The 97ft-long wing spar is seen here being loaded into the spar assembly tool in January this year.
Компания "Cathay Pacific" заказала 30 Boeing 777-300ER, с поставкой последнего в 2012 году. На фотографии: шестой авиалайнер, поставленный 6 февраля 2008 года.
Boeing 777-300ERs are the backbone of Cathay Pacific Airways' long-haul fleet. The airline's latest 777-300ER B-KPF is painted in a new 'Asia's World City' livery to help promote Hong Kong as it flies around the world.
