British Airways has so far purchased two HS.748 Srs 2As, for use primarily on routes in the north of Scotland. They are the most fully equipped 748s to date and have allowed the airline to achieve a new standard of punctuality and reliability on such difficult routes as the Aberdeen-Sumburgh service, where poor weather, short daylight hours and short runways combine to impede operations.
