ZS-BBZ c/n 6768 at Cape Town in August 1972 when owned by Rotorwing (Pty) Ltd. Sadly, it was destroyed in a hangar fire on 11.12.76.

C/n 6914 was sold to Canada as CF-GLL in 1951 and based for some time at Vancouver where it was photographed on 26.4.58. It is now in Denver with Jack Munroe as N35JM.

The first of two Uruguayan civil Beech 17s was CX-AQG c/n 6915 which was sold from Canada to Chile 6.55 before passing on to Uruguay in 10.55, though no Chilean identity is known.

Disguised in Dutch wartime colours as PB1, c/n 6869 is in fact N18V. The actual aircraft used by Prince Bernhard as PB.1 was c/n 420. Photograph by Ian MacFarlane at Strathallan on 14.7.81.

One of the last D17Ss built as a GB-2 for the US Navy, N4607N c/n 6927 was a mere 39 years old when it visited Oshkosh on 31.7.83.

Reflecting the snow in its superb gloss finish, G17S N70E c/n B-11 shown here during the winter of 1956/7. It has since been repainted in the standard factory colour scheme.
A beautifully finished, dark blue and white trim, 1946-built, four-seat Beech Model D17S, with the distinctive back-staggered wings and "racy" sloped windshield. Note the unusual ventral radome-like fitting aft of the wings.
