    21.3.31 The Angus Aquila was G-ABIK c/n 1, a single seat monoplane powered by a 40 hp 9-cylinder Salmson AD9 radial and designed by Arthur L.Angus. The aircraft was only registered on 23.1.31 and was being tested at Hanworth when, on a local flight piloted by the designer, it stalled and dived into the ground from about 100 feet after take-off. The pilot, who had only about 50 hours experience, was killed.
