The first of three Fokker F.27 Maritimes which the Philippine A.F. has been operating since February 1981. They are used for a variety of tasks including coastal surveillance, counter-infiltration, offshore installation control, fishery protection and search and rescue. Other operators of the F.27 Maritime include the Peruvian Navy (2), Angolan A.F. (1) and Netherlands (2). The two Dutch aircraft equip No.336 Squadron, a joint Navy/A.F. unit based at Curacao in the West Indies.
