Six Lockheed L-100-30 Hercules (PK-PLR illus.) have been ordered to date for use in Indonesia's transmigration programme, which will move more than a million people, mostly from Java, to less overcrowded parts of the Republic.

Sadly the original WEL-1 was destroyed by a grenade, but thirty years later it was decided to build replicas of the aircraft. Revmaster-powered WEL-1 replica starts a cross-country flight.

All that the Indonesian Armed Forces Museum staff know about this photo is that it shows a Bristol Blenheim re-engined with a pair of radials from a Japanese bomber. It is said to have crashed on landing after its first flight.
