MBB BO 105 (Germany)
The prototype of this five-seat light utility helicopter flew for the first time in 1967. The original production version was the BO 105C powered by two 298 kW (400 shp) Allison 250-C20 turboshaft engines. This is no longer available. The current models are the BO-105CB powered by two 313 kW (420 shp) Allison 250-C20B engines and the standard production model since 1975; BO 105CBS with increased seating or cargo capacity in a 0.25 m (9 3/4 in) longer fuselage, available in five-seat executive or six-seat high-density configurations; BO 105D, a variant supplied to the UK with modified equipment; BO 105L, deliveries of which began in 1980; BO 105M (VBH) liaison and observation helicopter for the German Army, with uprated engines and transmission (227 ordered to replace Alouette IIs); and the BO 105P (PAH-1) anti-tank version, with outriggers able to carry six Hot missiles; procurement of 212 PAH-1s by the German Army began in 1979.

HFIgVerbAufkIStff 100 was established at Celle to replace Heeresfliegerregiment 16 (HFR 16, Army Aviation Regiment 16), which was disbanded in April 2002 as part of defence cuts. Heeresfliegerinstandsetzungsstaffel 1 (Army Aviation Maintenance Squadron 1) - formed out of HFR 16 - is also marking its tenth anniversary. The helicopter has an eagle painted on its port side and Pegasus (the flying horse) on the starboard side of the cabin, representing the maintenance squadron and HFIgVerbAufkIStff 100 respectively. HFIgVerbAufkIStff 100 will be disbanded in the near future as well, as part of Bundeswehr reforms published on October 26, 2011.

The type has been in service at Fritzlar since 1978, but KHR36 will hand over its remaining Bo105s at the year-end to the Heeresfliegerwaffen: (German Army Aviation School) at Buckeburg and then operate only the Tiger UHT helicopter.

Bo 105P1 86+49 (w/n 6049) carries the hornet emblem of the unit on its rear cabin, while Bo 105P1M 87+28 (w/n 6128) features saluting soldiers in front of Roth's skyline. The regiment is due to be disbanded in October 2013, with its Bo 105s passing to the last units that fly the type, at Celle and Fassberg.

Leased from Bond Air Services of Aberdeen, it has a top speed of 140 m.p.h. and reaches areas such as woods, beaches, marshlands and golf courses inaccessible to many land vehicles.

Регистрационный номер: EC-DVK Spanish Aduanas/Agencia Tributaria (Customs/Tax Agency) MBB BO-105 EC-DVK seen on April 15, 2007 at Vigo Airport, one of the type's regular detachment bases along the Spanish Coast. The helicopter wears a new colour scheme that is being progressively applied to the whole fleet, whilst it has also been recently fitted with a new forward-looking infra-red turret on the port side to search, track and identify suspect vessels. EC-DVK was the first helicopter to enter service with the Aduanas, in July 1985, and has since been joined by three more BO-105s, a BK-117 and, more recently, three AS365 Dauphins. One of the BO-105s was, however, lost in a fatal accident in November 1989.

The aviation component of the Indonesian Army, the TNI-AD, is receiving, like the two other armed services, a number of Nurtanio-assembled BO 105 helicopters, such as that seen here equipped with rocket pods. The first export customer for BO 105s from the Nurtanio line is the Royal Malaysian Air Force which has ordered 10-12 helicopters of this type. Late this year, a start will be made on the licence manufacturing programme of the AS 332 Super Puma 21-seat medium transport helicopter, and the Nurtanio product line will be still further broadened with the 35-seat CN-235 transport now undergoing design definition as a collaborative venture with CASA. Plans also exist for a 70-seat transport.

This year's Army Air Day, held at Middle Wallop on 6th August 1977, began with a massed arrival of ten fixed-wing aircraft (Chipmunks) and sixty-five helicopters. The cabin lay-out of PAS “Bravo". The unique tac/comms unit, adapted specifically for police and EMS operations, is situated between the pilot's and observer's seats. The large black case contains essential equipment such as stabilised binoculars, hand-held radios and cameras. It also provides a useful front paw rest for police dogs sat on the back seat!

Данный противотанковый вертолет PAH-1 во второй половине 1980-х годов находился в составе 16-го полка армейской авиации Сухопутных войск ФРГ (Heeresflieger), которая в общей сложности получила 212 таких машин. В то время каждый из трех армейских корпусов имел в своем составе три вертолетных полка трехэскадрильного состава, один из которых был вооружен PAH-1. Кроме того, в каждой дивизии СВ ФРГ имелась рота связи, располагавшая вертолетами Bo 105M - связными и легкими разведывательными.
