MBB BO 209 Monsun
22 декабря 1967 года в первый полет отправился прототип нового легкого двухместного туристического и тренировочного самолета конструкции доктора Германа Милиуса, технического директора компании "Bolkow". Первоначально самолет обозначался MHK-101. В 1969 году после образования компании MBB (результат объединения в конце 1960-х годов компаний "Messerschmitt", "Bolkow" и "Blohm", окончательно оформленный в 1969 году) было решено продолжить работы по программе. Доработанный прототип под обозначением MBB BO 209 выполнил первый полет 28 мая 1969 года. Это был низкоплан с отъемными консолями крыла, закрытой кабиной для летчика и пассажира, неубираемым шасси с носовой опорой и одним мотором. Мощность устанавливаемых двигателей могла варьироваться от 125 до 160 л. с. (93-119 кВт). К моменту окончания серийного производства(в начале 1972 года) построили примерно 100 самолетов.

BO 209-150: первый серийный вариант с мотором Lycoming O-320 мощностью 150 л. с.
BO 209-160: альтернативный серийный вариант с мотором Lycoming IO-320 мощностью 160 л.с.
BO 209S: тренировочный вариант с мотором Rolls-Royce/Continental O-240 мощностью 130 л. с. или Lycoming O-235F мощностью 125 л.с. и неотъемным крылом

The prototype Mylius My 102 Tornado D-EMYS shows off its lines. The scaled-down Monsun format is quite apparent but new are the 3-bladed propeller, cowlings modelled around the 180 hp Lycoming flat four and the proportionally larger single seat canopy. -
