The F-104G Starfighter provided the fighter backbone of NATO for some 20 years, but now serves only with the Greek, Italian, Turkish and (as the CF-104) Canadian members.
The Loening M-8 two-seat fighter was to have been built in large numbers at the end of WWl, but the Armistice resulted in contract termination, small numbers subsequently being built for the US Navy.
