   В 1927 году самолет Model 10 вытеснил Model 9, в том же году было собрано около 370 новых машин, на которых устанавливались различные двигатели (самым мощным был Wright Whirlwind мощностью 300 л.с.). Продукция компании «Waco» стала самой многочисленной среди американских серийных коммерческих самолетов. После Model 10 был разработан Model 10-T, отличавшийся перепроектированными трапециевидными крыльями бипланной коробки, что повысило летные данные самолета и превратило его в полноценную гоночную машину. Построено 50 самолетов, из них пять в 1929 году поставлены в Китай в качестве учебных.
   В 1930 году были введены трехбуквенные обозначения самолетов, в которых первая буква указывала на тип двигателя, вторая - на тип планера, а третья - на серию. В некоторых случаях добавлялись дополнительные буквы или цифры для более точного обозначения модели самолета.

U.S. National Air Races: A "Waco Ten," of which several were entered for the various events. It was one of these machines, piloted by W. H. E. Drury (a native of St. Catherines, Ont.), and fitted with a Wright "Whirlwind" that won the International Trans-Continental Race.
