Blackburn B-101 Beverley

When the Air Ministry issued Specification C.3/46 for a medium-range tactical transport, General Aircraft Ltd started work on the Universal Freighter Mk 1 prototype at Feltham. It was felt that the adjacent aerodrome at Hanworth would be too small for flight tests, and the aircraft was dismantled, transported to Brough and reassembled. -
