Регистрационный номер: J-BBDQ This issue includes a significant number of previously unrecorded glider registrations as well as newly-researched powered aircraft. Here J-BBDQ, an Itoh Type C-2 gets airborne from a bungee launch. Other than the fin/rudder shape the basic outline is similar to that most successful of pre-war sailplanes the Grunau Baby, although the C-2 is slightly larger and lighter. Built by the Itoh Aeroplane Manufacturing company founded by Otojiro Itoh, the C-2 was designed for soaring with a wing span of 14.21m, length 6.232m, wing section Gottingen 535, aspect ratio 13.0 and empty weight of 145kg
