E.Brown - No harbinger of summer ... Messerschmitt's swallow /Viewed from the Cockpit/
The Me 262A-1a (Werk-Nr 110 025) belonged to the Kommando Nowotny, the first fully-fledged Me 262A-equipped interceptor unit of the Luftwaffe. This view shows well the exceptionally clean lines possessed by this, the "most formidable combat aircraft to evolve in World War II".
One of the six Me 262As assigned to the Naval Air Test Center at Patuxent River. These aircraft were allocated BuAer numbers, that illustrated being 121442.
