The journal of a roving spotter
Lancaster NX739, long familiar to visitors to Blackbushe, has now gone to the breaker's yard, and is succeeded by Lincoln RF322 for the same duty - a mount for M.o.S. photographers.
This drawing shows the form which the prototype Armstrong Whitworth A.W.650 medium-haul freighter and coach aircraft will take. Engines will be Rolls-Royce Darts. Other variants announced are the 651 with two Rolls-Royce Tynes, and the 660, a military version of the 650.
