NC41VT is powered by a 90 h.p. Franklin 4AC-199-E2 engine - the type was normally fitted with a 65 h.p. unit. Note the air-driven generator between the undercarriage struts.

The skinny fuselage is apparent in the view - by half-way along the rear decking it has narrowed to a mere 12in.

The Collegiate has a single instrument panel but may be flown from the front or rear seat. The cabin is narrow - just 22in wide - but there is plenty of leg- and head-room, and visibility is excellent.
