A Baroudeur touches down on rough terrain. Normal landing procedure was to land first on the tailskid and then allow the aircraft to sink onto the main skids.

Baroudeur 02 taxying on its take-off trolley. Without wheels test pilot Pierre Maulandi was able to taxy on skids, and could turn on a 70ft radius to an accuracy of one yard.

Baroudeur prototype 02 sitting in the snow. In addition to damping out yaw-and-roll, the two underfins acted in place of the retractable tailskid. They were resiliently mounted and shod with steel.

Baroudeur prototype 01 flying with the twin underfins fitted. The Baroudeur was 44ft 3in in length, had a span of 32ft 10in and weighed 9,850lb empty. It was powered by one SNECMA Atar 101-E of 7,280lb static thrust. Baroudeur 01 made its first flight on April 1, 1954; 02 first flew on May 12, 1954.
