   Самолет Sopwith Schneider 1919 был небольшим гоночным гидропланом с мотором Cosmos Jupiter мощностью 450 л. с. Его построили специально для участия в гонках на Кубок Шнейдера. В 1919 году гонки не состоялись по причине плотного тумана в районе проведения состязаний. На следующий год Sopwith Schneider 1919 доработали в самолет Rainbow аэродромного базирования с мотором ABC Dragonfly мощностью 320 л. с. Rainbow разбился в сентябре 1923 года.

   The "Schneider Cup" seaplane was described in FLIGHT for September 4 last, so that a further description is unnecessary here, and the following brief characteristics should suffice. Span, 24 ft.; chord, 5 ft. 1 1/2 ins.; gap, 4 ft. 6 ins.; stagger (back), 2 1/2 ins.; overall length, 22 ft.; weight, 2,200 lbs.; speed (as land machine), 170-175 m.p.h. The engine is a 450 h.p. Cosmos "Mercury."

THE AERIAL DERBY: The Sopwith-Hawker machine gets away. This 400 h.p. Jupiter-engined 'plane, piloted by Flight Lieut. W. H. Longton, was the second fastest over the course.
A "DERBY DARK HORSE": The speedy-looking Sopwith-Hawker racing biplane which is expected to do great things in Monday's Aerial Derby. It is fitted with a 400 h.p. Bristol "Jupiter," and has a wing span of only 21 feet.
