The CWH Lancaster is seen on its first public flight on 24 September last, when it was accompanied by the CWH Hurricane and Cliff Robertson's Spitfire IX.
Marked VR:A to represent the aircraft in which Plt Off Andrew Mynarski won a posthumous Victoria Cross on the night of 12/13 June 1944, the CWH Lancaster is seen on its first public flight on 24 September last
The restored Lancaster, now carrying the serial KB726 of Mynarski's original, was built by Victory Aircraft in July 1945 with the serial FM213 and served with the RCAF as a Mk 10MR from 1951 until late 1963.
To comply with Canadian airworthiness regulations, the Lancaster carries a civil registration - appropriately, C-GVRA - which is displayed under the tailplane.
