A Jaguar A of EC 3/7 over the Adriatic Sea on an Operation Allied Force mission in 1999. This aircraft is carrying a Barracuda ECM pod on the outer port wing station, a Magic 2 air-to-air missile on the equivalent starboard pylon, two laser-guided bombs on the inner wing pylons and a fuel tank on the centreline.
Two-seat Jaguars in French service were given the designation ‘E’, standing for Ecole (Training). Forty of this variant was purchased for the Armee de L'Air one of the distinguishing characteristics of the French two-seaters was their fixed refuelling probe on the nose. Single-seat Jaguar As (the aircraft in the background) had a retractable probe, which was stowed to starboard side below the cockpit.

An EC 2/11 Jaguar A with an AS 37 Martel anti-radiation missile, on the centreline station, used for the suppression of enemy air defences. This role and the use of this weapon passed to the unit after EC 3/3 at Nancy-Ochey re-equipped with Mirage IIIEs in 1987.
An Armee de l'Air Jaguar of EC 1/7 at Saint-Dizier-Robinson undergoing maintenance on one of its 7,305lb st thrust Rolls-Royce Turbomeca Adour Mk 102 engines. Experience led the RAF to upgrade its Jaguars with more powerful engines, however the French stuck with the aforementioned powerplant which many considered left the aircraft under-powered.
As they could be refuelled in the air, unlike other French tactical aircraft at the time jaguars became the Armee de l'Air ‘s 'weapon of choice' for overseas operations. For some of these the aircraft were painted in a desert camouflage as they type saw service in Africa and the Middle East.
Jaguar M.05 during carrier evaluations aboard the Clemenceau on July 8, 1970. While all other Jaguar variants had a single nose-wheel and twin-wheel main undercarriage, the naval Jaguar reversed that fit with dual nose-wheel and single main wheel units!
A ceremony at the Armee de l'Air's last Jaguar base, Saint-Dizier-Robinson, on July 1, 2005 brought to a close 32 years of service. The last unit EC 01.007 painted Jaguar E, E22 '7-HB', in this special scheme.
