PAC Kamra has handed over 26 dual-seat JF-17B Thunders within the past 13 months that as well as supporting training will bring a new tactical capability to the PAF. Eventually they will be equipped with the new KLJ-7A AESA radar
When the JF-17Bs are eventually handed over to 18 Sqn 'Sharp Shooters' at MM Alam air force base, it will effectively become the JF-17 OCU. The unit currently flies F-7Ps and FT-7Ps - it, another un-numbered squadron, are the last two units to fly these Chinese-built variants.
The Mirage Rebuild Factory is now overhauling Mirages for the fourth time. To date, there is no sign of the French delta-winged fighter being withdrawn from use. The PAF still flies a handful of Mirages built in 1967, which is testament to the work the MRF does
