The Ferret III (N192), shown illustrated, flew in 1927. It also had the Jupiter VI and the increased wing span but the cockpit layout was re-arranged as a two-seater for general-purpose duties. The outline was generally cleaned up and a Fairey high-speed gun-mounting was substituted for the Scarff type. Colour scheme was silver overall, with black on top of fuselage.
