In 1968 Dakota 4 G-AMPP was being used on Dan-Air’s weekday Cardiff-Bristol-Liverpool-Newcastle service, and is seen here at Speke on July 5 of that year. Delivered to the airline in 1961, this Dak was withdrawn from use in September 1970 but is currently preserved as G-AMSU.

Formerly Emerald Airways Dakota 4 EI-APB Ulster Maid, G-AMWV is seen here at Speke on July 28, 1968, in the livery of the short-lived Air Ulster. Delivered to the airline in December 1967, it was withdrawn from use in July 1969.

Seen at Gatwick's general aviation terminal in May 1967 is Fairey Surveys’ Dakota 4 G-AHCT. It was withdrawn from use in January 1972.

Invicta's Douglas C-54A Skymaster freighter G-ASPN turning round at Speke in July 1968. Note the British Eagle steps. The company sold the aircraft in April 1972.

D.H.89 Dragon Rapide G-AEML snapped at Speke in August 1968. This Rapide is currently airworthy following a recent restoration.

Stansted-based Percival Prince 6B G-AMKX of the Civil Aviation Flying Unit at Speke on June 14, 1968. It was withdrawn from use in December the following year.
