Fourteen Nieuport Nie-28 fighters were purchased in 1923 and remained in service until 1930. With a 160 hp Gnome rotary it could reach 126 mph at 6.500 feet.

Lodestar NZ3510 of No.40 Squadron RNZAF was unique in being the first RNZAF aircraft to land in Japan after the Japanese surrender. The lightning flash on the nose is rather odd in that such emblems tended to point in the direction that the aircraft was flying!

The C-3603 was a reconnaissance and ground attack aircraft designed and built for the Swiss Air Force. After tests with two prototypes, the C.3603 was ordered into production, 152 being built. It remained in service from 1942 to 1952. A target-towing version was developed after the end of the war.

Hanriot HD-1 No.653 of the Swiss Fliegertruppe. Sixteen were purchased in 1921 and remained in service until 1928. Powered by a 120 hp Le Rhone 9Jb rotary engine and armed with a single Vickers gun, the HD.1 had a maximum speed of 115 mph.

An FBA Type B of the Royal Naval Air Service beached at Calshot. 3646 was in service at Calshot between March 1916 and 9 November 1916 when it crashed on landing. It does not appear to have been repaired and was SOC on 9th February 1917.

Short Sarafand S1589 is hoisted out of the water by the giant crane at Felixstowe. It is being placed on its beaching trolley, itself a major piece of engineering that enabled the boat to be transferred to the ramp of the hangar area.

The elegant shape of a fleet spotter is displayed by Westland Walrus N9501. This Gosport-based aircraft was used for deck-landing trials on HMS Argus but was lost when it spun into the sea at Spithead on 6th November 1924.
