The first customer to receive examples of the fully-equipped F27 Maritime was the Peruvian Navy, which took delivery of the two aircraft illustrated here late in 1977.

The F27 Maritime recently sold to Angola. After being displayed at Farnborough International 80 this aircraft - the most recent Maritime completed - was delivered in October 1980.
In a striking blue/white/red finish, this is the F27 Maritime prototype, converted from a commercial F27 Mk 100 and first flown in February 1976. The underwing long-range fuel tanks, which are a standard feature of the Maritime, are not being carried in this photograph.
Two views, from opposite ends of the cabin, of the radar operator's station on the starboard side of the cabin of the F27 Maritime. The large CRT display for the Litton search radar is prominent.
