N.Sultan - Emirates SkyCargo. The COVID-19 story
With more than 130 Boeing 777s in its fleet, Sultan said it would be sometime before the airline had to deploy its Airbus A380-800s for cargo duties.
The usual fleet of Boeing 777Fs has been bolstered by Emirates' passenger jets during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The company has expanded its weekly scheduled cargo flight operations to cover 75 destinations across six continents.
Emirates SkyCargo is currently operating more than 100 rotations a day from its hub in Dubai.
To further optimise freight operations and capacity, Emirates SkyCargo is making use of overhead bins and seats of its Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft.
In addition to scheduled freight services, Emirates SkyCargo also operates charter links to help meet customer demand.
