Fig 1 above represents the Jaguar pilot's Head-up Display (HUD) - depending on mode, combinations of the various symbols and numerals are projected via an optical system onto his view of the outside world. Fig 2 below explains what the symbols and numerals mean. The upper and lower horizon bars indicate pitch angles of ±30 deg, while the 'feet' on the central horizon bar indicate 3 deg of pitch.
