Регистрационный номер : G-AJYL [6] G-AJYL with twin water-rudders retracted for launching. The author, near the port float, is helping to ease away the beaching trolleys. Because of the buoyancy of the tyres the aircraft needed a strong downward push to keep them clear of the float keels.

Inset, no seagulls flying but plenty of “Flung spray and blown spume”, as John Masefield would have described this scene of 'YL taxying in rough water.
