No, Peter Cookes models do not fly: this shot of full-sized Mosquitoes provides an interesting comparison with their 1/24 scale counterparts. It depicts Hawarden-based BAe Mosquito T.3 RR299 (in the background) flying in company with Kermit Weeks's B.35 RS712 just before the latter departed for Miami on September 29, 1987

Mosquito II DZ230 YP-A, flown by Wg Cdr Peter (later Air Marshal Sir Peter) Wykeham-Barnes, CO of 23 Sqn in Malta at the end of 1942. The Wykeham family shield was copied from a Crusader shield in a Maltese church.

Well-known Mosquito PR.IX ML897 “D-Dorothy" of 1409 Bomber Command Met Flight, summer 1944. This model was built for the author's old friend and client Vai Bennett - who, incidentally, would like to hear (via the Editor) from anyone who flew the aircraft.
