It is shown with the nose modified to undertake guided weapon head trials and fitted with an experimental tail horn installation used in a programme for the detection of centimetric AI transmissions to counter rear-end air attacks.

It is shown here with the Beryls in summer 1947, after it had been used in drop-tests to determine the strength of the undercarriage and wing centre-section of the Meteor in general.
