Robs Lamplough's beautiful Filton-based Supermarine Spitfire HF.VIIIC MV154/G-BKMI, which is painted in the markings of MT928 ZX-M of 145 Sqn, the first unit to use Spitfires operationally in North Africa, was photographed exclusively for Aeroplane by RICHARD PAVER on October 9, 1994. The pilot for the occasion was Pete John.
