Devon C.1 together with the Nash Collection's Sopwith Camel F6314 / “H508” at Hendon on the “last day” of RAF operational flying, November 4, 1957. Forty years on, the Camel is now part of the RAF Museum collection, situated yards from where this photograph was taken.

One can almost hear the two Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah engines growling as Avro Anson C.19 TX214 flies low past the control tower at RAF Hendon in the gloom of November 4, 1957, shortly before departing to its new base at nearby Northolt.
