The star of the Air Day at Archerfield, Brisbane, Australia on October 13 was Guido Zuccoli's Sea Fury FB.11, VH-HFG which made its public debut at the display.
Hot on the heels of the Fury, S.E.5a B4863/G-BLXT, made its first full flight on December 12 at Booker, watched by owner Patrick Lindsay. It had already hopped briefly on November 18.
The Fury, K1930/G-BKBB, is a reproduction built by Viv Bellamy at Land’s End Airfield in Cornwall, and powered by an original Rolls-Royce Kestrel engine.
Red and white Porterfield CP-50 G-AFZL, based at White Waltham, is the only surviving example outside the USA.
Also at Archerfield was Cliff Douglas' recently-rebuilt Waco EGC-8, VH-CGF, in an attractive midnight blue and white paint scheme.
