Now in the twilight of its service with the active-duty US Navy, the P-3C Orion is a type that the Philippines' Department of National Defense has expressed interest in acquiring. Patrol Squadron 40 (VP-40) 'Fighting Marlins' based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington is the last active-duty US Navy squadron to fly the P-3C Orion aircraft and after its current deployment will transition to the P-8 Poseidon.

The Dark Tiger of EC 3/30 'Lorraine' taxis out for another COMAO during the 2019 NATO Tiger Meet at Mont de Marsan.This aircraft commemorated Operation Smokescreen, an operation conducted on D-Day when the squadron lay down smoke over the beaches in Normandy, trying to hide the Allied troops from Nazi troops.

After four decades of service, the SA330 Puma said goodbye to the 5e Regiment d’Helicopteres de Combat at Pau on May 29, 2019, leaving the 3e Regiment d’Helicopteres de Combat as sole remaining SA330 operator with the ALAT.
