    The Fighter Collection P-47, No Guts - No Glory!, in the markings of the aircraft flown by Lt-Col Mayo, takes the prime position while Big Beautiful Doll provides the escort. The camera aircraft, Rob Davies’s Harvard G-TVIJ, was being flown by Rob’s chief engineer Jack Witte.

    Rob Davies steals the limelight in his P-51D G-HAEC Big Beautiful Doll, the scheme originally worn by John Landers' aircraft, while Pete Kynsey in the P-47 and Martin Sargeant in his T-6 G-BGOR, with his wife Jan in the back, keep him company. The Mustang and Thunderbolt are both painted in the chequerboard markings of the USAAF’s 78th Fighter Group.

    A Thunderbolt over the Woodchurch area again, 54 years after the USAAF’s examples left the site for mainland Europe in the closing stages of World War Two. Pete Kynsey formates on the camera aircraft in The Fighter Collection's Republic P-47D N47DD/42-26671, over the Bewl Bridge reservoir at the end of its transit flight from its Duxford base.
