Регистрационный номер: WP903 Both HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and his son, HRH Prince Charles, were taught to Sly in the Chipmunk. Apart from the overall red colour scheme, the main external distinguishing feature of WP903 is the large anti-collision beacon fitted above the windscreen arch. This aircraft was flown by HRH Prince Charles from mid 1968 to 1970.

Although not having the highest constructor’s number, Chipmunk T.10 611 was held at Chester to become the last of 1,000 British-produced Chipmunks to be delivered. Long-since retired from service with the Royal Saudi Air Force, it is rumoured that a number are currently stored in the desert.

Super Chipmunk N1804Q was built in 1956 for the Royal Canadian Air Force as a DHC-1B-2-S5 Chipmunk. It was released from service in 1972 and converted under private ownership to a Spinks Super Chipmunk in 1975. It is currently fitted with a Lycoming IO-540-C4B5 under a Twin-Bonanza cowling.

It was stored at RAE Farnborough and later Bedford, before being given to the Shuttleworth Collection. This photograph was taken in August 1985 since when it has been sold to a private owner.

Регистрационный номер: G-IDDY Major modification of Chipmunk airframes for aerobatic competitions was not restricted to the USA, a UK example being Super Munk G-IDDY, seen here at its Southend home on March 23, 1982, when it was being flown by Nigel Brendish - it remains active today, although with new owners. Modifications include cut-down single-seat cockpit with bubble hood, new squared-off tail, streamlined wheel spats and a Lycoming O-540 engine in a modified cowling.

Регистрационный номер: CT-102 Following their withdrawal from service in 1992, the five surviving Sri Lankan Air Force Chipmunk T.20s serialled CT-102, CT-103, CT-107, CT-110 and CT-111 were placed into store with the Aircraft Preservation and Storage Unit at Ratmalana. CT-110, has subsequently joined the co-located museum.
