DH.60G c/n 1812 VH-UPV ex G-ABEN was Mrs Lores Bonney's "My Little Ship" in which she broke Australian distance records in 1931-2. With extra fuel tank in the covered-over front cockpit, she is seen flying over Essendon, Victoria.

Awaiting take-off at Cairo at the start of the 1927 Circuit of the Oasis is DH.60G Moth c/n 1856 G-ABOE "Offero" as No.57 entered by well-known competitors Mabel and Sheila Glass.

This view of c/n 138 N939M, immaculate in grey and yellow with red trim, was taken at Chicagoland Airport near Chicago, probably in the fifties.
To delight the eyes of an older generation a circa 1929, Chicago-based, de Havilland D.H.60G Gipsy Moth (N939M). At least two other Gipsy Moths are registered in the U.S.A. - N1510V belonging to Paul Mantz and N916M (built at Stag Lane in 1929) owned by Hank Coffin. The latter "stars" in the recent air-racing film, "The Tarnished Angels". The Gipsy Moth is powered by a contemporary 98-h.p. D.H. Gipsy inverted in-line.
