This seaplane appears to have Russian markings. Ideas?
A Friedrichshafen FF.49B or 49C with White Russian roundels photographed at Sevastopol in 1918/19. Close examination of his copy shows the vestiges of the German Balkenkreuz on the upper wing leading edges. Presumably it was left behind when the Germans left the Ukraine. The photo has appeared elsewhere, incorrectly captioned as a FF.33H.
