G-AFJB hangared at Hesketh Park Aerodrome when it was owned by the Southport Aero Club, probably taken during 1957 when the Auster 5 G-ANIK seen behind was hired for pleasure flights by Giro Aviation who shared the same hangar. The wheel spats were often removed for operation from the adjacent beach airstrip to avoid sand accumulation

G-AFKK camouflaged by the makers in 1939 still wearing its spats. Not yet impressed it carries KK in small letters on the rear fuselage instead of a serial.

GM.1 G-AEZZ from the left side shows the two-piece moulded windscreen with the only frontal frame member on the centre line. It awaits delivery to the Cardiff Aeroplane Club in August 1938.

G-AFJB c/n 5 after 1946 overhaul still has the original rudder mass balance and circular perforated carburetter intake but a standard Gipsy short exhaust replaces the long type.

C/n 3 ZK-AGN was impressed by the RNZAF as NZ580. It appears to have retained its original red and white colour scheme with the exception of the Wicko emblem on the cockpit door. It was kept in good condition but was not popular with the Central Communications Flight.
