The USAF has been evaluating a special version of the Beech Debonair in its Pave Eagle programme to supplement Lockheed EC-121Rs in use as electronic data relay platforms in SE Asia. With increased engine power and larger wing span than the commercial model, these aircraft are designated QU-22B and can be operated as drones, carrying one occupant to monitor the sensors.
Recent additions to the inventory of the Turkish Air Forces, the Turk Hava Kuvvetleri (THK), have included 10 Bell UH-1D Iroquois helicopters, one of these being illustrated; sufficient Northrop RF-5A photographic aircraft to equip one squadron of the THK's 3rd Tactical Air Force, and three ex-THY Vickers Viscount 794s which are being used exclusively as VIP transports.
An impression of the Boeing 767, the subject of current studies by the Boeing Company into long-range transports with high subsonic cruising speeds and supercritical wing design.
