Регистрационный номер : G-ADGP A familiar registration but an unfamiliar shape, for most. Miles M.2L Hawk Speed Six G-ADGP was registered in June 1935 to Louis Fontes, who raced it extensively before the war. The aircrafts post-war racing career in the hands of Tommy Rose and Ron Paine would fill a book. So too would the various modifications to this racing thoroughbred, G-ADGP is currently being restored to its original configuration, with Fox Moth-type sliding canopy, by Ron Souch.

Armstrong Siddeley Genet Major radial engine and was built by the Canadian Fleet Aircraft company at Fort Erie, Ontario. It was first flown in the UK on July 14, 1938. Miraculously, 'JY survived the war but, following damage in April 1946 and storage until July 1959, it was unbelievably scrapped at Altrincham.

Регистрационный номер : G-ADUR This de luxe de Havilland D.H.87 Hornet Moth, complete with wheel spats, was first registered in March 1936. Note the 600 (City of London) RAuxAF Sqn crest on the fin. G-ADUR somehow escaped RAF impressment and has an almost unbroken post-war flying career. Today it is in the safe hands of de Havilland aircraft collector Brian Woodford.

The Stinson SR-10C Reliant was distinguished from its sisters by way of the smooth unblistered cowling enclosing its 250 h.p. Lycoming R-680-D5 radial engine. Registered in July 1939, G-AFRS was impressed into the RAF in February the following year and became W7978. Its career ended on April 28, 1942 when it crashed into a field near Mill Hill in North London, following engine failure while taking off from nearby RAF Hendon.

Регистрационный номер : G-ACUG Looking more like a product of the American Waco company, this five-seat tourer was actually made by Avro. The Avro 641 Commodore was powered by a 215 h.p. Armstrong Siddeley Lynx IVC radial engine. G-ACUG was first owned by Maj J. E. Durrant Shaw, in September 1934. After impressment into the RAF in February 1941 as DJ710, the Commodore was written off following a stall while landing at White Waltham on August 10 same year.
