Miles Hawk Trainer G-AKPF during a visit to Ramsgate in 1957. Withdrawn from use in 1963, 'PF was put into storage at Ipswich in 1967. Parts of the aircraft are incorporated in a restoration of ’PF by Laurie Taylor at Kingston, Cambridgeshire.

Air Kruise Dragon Rapide G-ALWK in Trans Channel Airways colours at Ramsgate in 1957. Later that year the aircraft was sold in Algeria, becoming F-OBAL.

Island Air Services' Dragon Rapide G-AGUF in front of Ramsgate's tower and terminal building in 1957. On June 29 that year 'UF crashed on takeoff from Ramsgate, and Island Air Services ceased operating pleasure flights at the end of the season.

Miles Messenger G-AHZS at Ramsgate in 1957. It flew pleasure flights and charters to Le Touquet with Air Kruise (Kent) Ltd, and was finally withdrawn from use in 1962.

A Miles Messenger, almost certainly G-AHZS, approaching Ramsgate Airport's north/south runway in 1957. The airport, just north of the town, was opened in 1935. it was badly damaged during an air raid in August 19-10, and, with the threat of invasion, was obstructed until the end of hostilities. It was officially reopened on June 27, 1953, and hosted several pleasure-flying companies including Air Kruise (who operated the airfield), Maitland Air Charter, Chrisair, Island Air Services and Skyflights, who took over operation of the airfield in 1958. In 1968 the airfield was closed, and since then the grass has given way to bricks and mortar.

Miles Gemini 1A G-AIHM snapped during a visit to Ramsgate in 1961. On November 18, 1962, 'HM crashed at Le Touquet during take-off.
