Then there was the presence of the Caboolture-based, Commonwealth Aircraft CA-18 Mustang VH-MFT. Flown by Ed Field, there is no doubting the power of the Mustang, not just its horsepower but also its power of attracting an appreciative audience!

Besides the Mustang, Kim and Cameron Rolph-Smith were there in force with their North American AT-28D Trojan VH-TRO (photo) and Yakovlev Yak-52s VH-YKO and -YNO.

The other imposing aircraft in attendance were Des and Kathleen Porter's DH Dragon VH-UXG and Russell Mann's classic Beech H-18S VH-ATX

Owned by Martin Davie, ST3-KR VH-NEA is one of two of the type currently in Australia and it now resides at the nearby Tyagarah.
