The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Lancaster PA474.
Lancaster I R5852 of 83 Sqn was lost when it overshot at RAF Condover, Shrewsbury on September 9, 1942.
A Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, torn from its mounting, with a wing and smashed fuselage sections close behind.
