This rare formation of three Chance Vought F4U-4 Corsairs is seen over Breckenridge, Texas in June 1983. The lead aircraft is flown by Merle Gustafson, the second by Buck Ridley and the third by Howard Pardue. The second and third Corsairs came from the Honduran Air Force where they participated in the last prop-driven dogfight - Corsairs versus Mustangs - during the infamous 1969 "Soccer War” between Honduras ana Salvador.
